Electrical QA/QC Manager – Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and control activities on a major Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) project in Gabon. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from engineering design through construction, testing, commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Electrical QA/QC Management System in line with project specifications, client requirements and international standards.
• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, quality procedures and related documentation.
• Monitor electrical construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and contractual obligations.
• Lead and supervise QA/QC engineers, inspectors and third‑party inspection agencies.
• Conduct inspections of generators, turbine electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, HV/MV/LV distribution, protection and control, earthing, lightning protection, instrumentation and control interfaces, and cable works.
• Coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), pre‑commissioning and commissioning quality activities.
• Maintain complete documentation, traceability and quality records throughout the project.
• Review NCRs, corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely closure.
• Participate in client, consultant and regulatory audits and inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of Electrical QA/QC experience in power generation, EPC or large industrial projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior QA/QC managerial role.
• Proven experience on CCPP, CCGT, gas‑fired or large power generation projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, ISO 9001 and utility standards.
• Experience with electrical testing, commissioning and performance validation.
• Previous work on international projects in Africa, the Middle East or remote locations is highly desirable.
