Construction Supervisor – Civil Projects

About the role

Assala Energy is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead civil construction activities across its oil and gas project sites in Gabon. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of works, coordinating contractors and supporting the hand‑over of facilities and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractor personnel and day‑to‑day construction activities on site.
• Monitor works to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, schedules and company standards.
• Enforce safe work practices and HSSE policies, participating in safety meetings and inspections.
• Prepare and maintain progress reports, verify that construction follows engineering and quality requirements, and document completed scopes.
• Identify non‑conformities, drive corrective actions, and coordinate with project managers, engineers, operations, logistics and other stakeholders.
• Support commissioning, hand‑over and close‑out activities to ensure smooth transition to operations.

Required profile

• HNC, Technical Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry supervising civil construction projects.
• Proven ability to monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance with specifications and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in operational and brownfield environments, with strong knowledge of HSSE requirements.
