Special Projects Technician

About the role

Assala Energy is seeking a highly experienced Special Projects Technician to lead complex, multidisciplinary field operations across its oil and gas assets in Gabon. The role combines hands‑on pipeline construction, ZAP‑LOK installation, and marine logistics with strong HSSE leadership to ensure safe and timely project delivery in remote environments.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and supervise complex field operations across multiple sites, including pipeline construction and ZAP‑LOK installation.
• Lead flexible pipeline installation, tie‑in activities, and offshore/onshore interface work.
• Coordinate marine and remote logistics such as barges, inter‑island transport, and mobilization.
• Supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with procedures and safety standards.
• Provide on‑site troubleshooting, rapid operational support, and assistance during hydro‑testing and commissioning.
• Maintain strong HSSE leadership and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Prepare operational reports and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas field operations, construction, or pipeline installation.
• Proven ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong commitment to HSSE standards and operational discipline.
