Electrical Specialist – Maintenance Fly Team

About the role

Assala Gabon is seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist to join its Maintenance Fly Team. You will ensure the reliable operation of electrical installations across multiple sites, supporting the company’s oil and gas asset portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Replace Electrical Supervisors during absences and supervise electrical teams.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical equipment according to vendor specifications.
• Mentor trainees, transferring knowledge and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership, analyze daily operational issues, and prepare major maintenance activities.
• Support development of maintenance and reliability strategies and review procedures for critical equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate reliability and maintainability into new designs.
• Participate in HAZOP/HAZID studies and ensure compliance with HSSE standards.
• Drive ESG awareness, conduct cost‑optimization studies, and monitor equipment performance for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Engineering diploma (or equivalent) with a postgraduate degree or specialized experience in Oil & Gas.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in oil‑gas operations or maintenance, with proven technical management.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Open‑minded, strong team spirit, and excellent interpersonal skills.
