Central Maintenance Director

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will define and lead Comilog’s central maintenance strategy across the entire value chain, from mining to the port, including mineral processing and rail transport. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability and performance of industrial assets while maintaining a strong focus on safety, cost control and operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deploy maintenance policy and strategy across all sites and activities.
• Ensure availability, reliability and risk control of critical assets in mining, processing, railway and port operations.
• Structure and continuously improve maintenance processes, including planning, work preparation, scheduling, CMMS, reliability engineering, spare parts management and reporting.
• Lead deployment of a world‑class maintenance model based on continuous improvement, predictive maintenance and standards such as WCM/TPM, RCM and FMEA.
• Govern multi‑site teams (100+ people), harmonise practices, support operational departments and manage performance through data and common routines.
• Embed HSE requirements, optimise maintenance costs, secure major shutdowns and contribute to strategic investments.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or Master’s in an industrial or mining‑related technical field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in industrial operations or maintenance, with significant leadership responsibility.
• Proven maintenance experience in an international, preferably mining or metals, environment and experience deploying or improving a CMMS.
• Expertise in heavy industrial maintenance, mobile equipment and fixed installations; railway equipment experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, federate multi‑site teams and work in a multicultural setting.
