Technical Manager - Environmental, Bio‑Physical and ESIA Studies

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Manager to lead and coordinate environmental and social studies, bio‑physical baseline assessments, biodiversity monitoring, and Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) across projects in Gabon and Central Africa. The role combines technical leadership with logistical, HSE, regulatory and client‑relationship responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define, structure and oversee the technical direction of assigned projects, ensuring scientific, methodological and regulatory consistency.
• Supervise project managers on methodological aspects, work‑plan development, and deliverable quality.
• Coordinate with operations, logistics and QHSE teams to guarantee smooth field deployments and compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Review and author technical reports, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• Identify critical issues, support decision‑making and propose adjustments to keep projects on track.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading environmental, biodiversity or ESIA projects, preferably in Central Africa.
• Strong background in interdisciplinary coordination and team management.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners and subcontractors.
