Program Coordinator – School Gardens

About the role
We are looking for a passionate Program Coordinator to lead the design, implementation, and growth of our School Gardens initiative across Gabon. The role blends education, project management, and sustainable agriculture to inspire students, teachers, and communities toward environmental stewardship and healthy nutrition.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor garden projects in partner schools.
- Develop and adapt curriculum on gardening, nutrition, composting, and environmental science for various age groups.
- Build and maintain relationships with school administrators, teachers, students, parents, and local stakeholders.
- Provide training and ongoing support to teachers and school staff.
- Coordinate volunteer activities and manage program budgets, resources, and reporting.
- Collect data, evaluate impact, and share success stories.
- Assist with grant writing and fundraising for the garden program.
- Represent Dilulu at meetings, workshops, and conferences.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, Community Development or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3‑5 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or educational program delivery, preferably in a non‑profit or school setting.
- Knowledge of sustainable gardening, composting, and basic ecological principles.
- Experience working with schools, teachers, and youth.
- Strong curriculum development and training facilitation abilities.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Willingness to travel within Gabon.
