Maintenance Superintendent

About the role

Assala Energy is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead the maintenance of its oil and gas assets in Gabon. The role involves overseeing turbo‑machinery, rotating equipment, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and HVAC systems, ensuring reliability and safety across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize asset reliability.
• Plan, schedule and allocate resources for all maintenance activities in line with the Integrated Asset Plan.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers, ensuring work meets standards and budget.
• Monitor performance metrics, drive continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain accurate data entry in SAP and ensure all maintenance and integrity information is up‑to‑date.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of maintenance management experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven leadership of maintenance teams with a track record of delivering results.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and standards.
• Fluency in French and ability to work in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment.
