Geology Superintendent

About the role

The Geology Superintendent will lead the exploration work programme for the Belinga project in Gabon, overseeing drilling, sampling and geological activities across three sites. Reporting to the Exploration Manager, the role ensures safe, efficient delivery in line with company standards and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the execution of the exploration programme across three operating sites.
• Manage deployment and utilisation of geology personnel, rigs and supporting resources to meet approved work plans.
• Design and implement mapping, surface sampling, and RC/core drilling campaigns.
• Integrate geological, geochemical and geophysical data into 3‑D models for target generation and decision‑making.
• Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts and schedule updates to management and strategic forums.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve complex geological problems and de‑risk exploration decisions.
• Liaise with drilling, earthworks, HSE, logistics and other departments to align project priorities.
• Lead or contribute to strategic decision meetings and project strategy development.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in exploration or mining, with at least 5 years in a senior project geologist or similar role.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team in remote operations.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to operate in a field environment.
