Field Program Lead – Gabon

About the role

The Field Program Lead will drive continuous improvement and operational integration across the Belinga exploration program in Gabon. Working with Field Operations, Earthworks, Environment, HSE, Logistics and other functions, you will streamline workflows, remove constraints and align approvals, planning and field execution.

Key responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement across all operational functions.
• Streamline cross‑functional workflows between approvals, planning and field execution.
• Integrate in‑country practices with Fortescue systems, standards and governance.
• Develop and standardise fit‑for‑purpose field procedures, work instructions and reporting practices.
• Support implementation and adoption of ATLAS and related reporting tools.
• Identify operational constraints and implement solutions to improve safety, productivity, data quality and reliability.
• Enhance communication, handovers and accountability between operational and support functions.
• Build local capability through training, coaching and mentoring.
• Monitor performance and resolve cross‑functional issues.
• Support scalable systems and processes for safe, compliant, efficient delivery as the program grows.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience in mining or exploration operations, including field or earthworks coordination.
• Proven ability to allocate resources and coordinate multi‑team daily work fronts.
• Experience with compliance reporting, inspections, corrective actions and accurate operational records.
• Strong understanding of site safety, work instructions, environmental compliance and land access requirements.
• Knowledge of local regulatory and environmental requirements for site works in Africa.
