Stakeholder Relationship Manager – Gabon

About the role

We are looking for a Stakeholder Relationship Manager to act as the primary in‑country liaison for a multi‑year laboratory construction and training project in Franceville, Gabon. The role bridges Labyrinth Global Health’s project team with the Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherches Médicales de Franceville (CIRMF), Gabonese ministries, the U.S. Embassy/DTRO and other partners, ensuring smooth non‑technical coordination throughout all phases.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for non‑technical communication between the project team, CIRMF leadership, Gabonese health ministries, the U.S. Embassy/DTRO and international stakeholders.
• Facilitate construction site access, coordinate temporary laboratory relocations, and schedule utility outages to avoid disruption of ongoing research.
• Navigate Gabonese regulatory, permitting and compliance processes to obtain construction and occupancy approvals.
• Maintain high‑value institutional relationships with government agencies, research institutions and contractors.
• Support seamless coordination of multi‑phase construction, training and hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in health‑sector projects, preferably with laboratory or bio‑security components.
• Proven track record of ministerial or high‑level government networking in Gabon or similar contexts.
• Deep understanding of Gabon’s health and laboratory systems and regulatory environment.
• Strong scientific credibility and ability to engage with research communities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with fluency in English; French is highly advantageous.
