About the role
Assala Gabon, a dynamic oil and gas exploration and production company, is seeking an experienced Senior Learning & Capability Analyst. The role will coordinate training, competency assessments, certification management and quality‑assurance activities across the organisation, ensuring employees have the knowledge and skills required to meet business and operational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Learning Focal Points to align and coordinate training activities.
- Coordinate and support coaching and mentoring programmes, providing development opportunities for staff.
- Identify training needs, plan learning initiatives and schedule delivery in partnership with functional leaders.
- Create, manage and coordinate onboarding programmes for Business Operations and Services.
- Lead the development of annual and long‑term training plans aligned with business priorities.
- Ensure learning content supports organisational objectives and delivery strategy.
- Collaborate with the Head of Learning & Development on content management and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Learning Focal Points to manage readiness and competency requirements.
- Work with Operations, Maintenance, HSSE, Finance and Services leadership to establish learning processes for leadership development.
- Design, implement and administer assessment strategies for competency and development programmes.
- Monitor training effectiveness, track outcomes and provide reporting to support workforce development and compliance.
Required profile
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training or Workforce Development.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and credibility with HR, functional leaders and senior management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coach and support managers and employees at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative and constructive dialogue skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement of workforce capability.
