Journeyman Lead Electrician (Tier 3)

About the role

Fluor is seeking a Journeyman Lead Electrician (Tier 3) to plan, install, and maintain electrical systems on construction projects. The role combines hands‑on wiring work with supervision of a crew and ensures compliance with codes and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan layouts, prepare sketches and follow blueprints to install wiring, fixtures, and control equipment.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit; pull and splice wiring, and connect power cables to equipment such as motors and HVAC units.
• Install and secure switches, relays, circuit‑breaker panels, and other distribution apparatus.
• Test continuity and functionality using instruments such as ohmmeters, buzzers and oscilloscopes, and troubleshoot or repair faulty systems.
• Provide data to Automated Information Systems and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent education with 4‑7 years related experience.
• Valid journeyman electrician license or comparable certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak English at an intermediate level.
• Authorization to work in the country of employment.

Required skills

• Electrical wiring installation and repair.
• Conduit measurement, cutting, bending and threading.
• Use of testing instruments (ohmmeter, buzzer, oscilloscope).
• Installation of control and distribution apparatus (switches, relays, circuit‑breaker panels).
• Interpretation of blueprints, sketches and diagrams.
