Core Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Core Network Engineer to join our team in Gabon. The role involves delivering, maintaining, optimizing and providing technical support for core network solutions to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and implement core network products such as CS, PS, IMS, HSS, PCRF and NFVI solutions.
• Design and support complex network scenarios and resolve advanced technical issues during project implementation and delivery.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, fault localisation and network optimisation activities.
• Monitor and improve network performance and service quality.
• Support cloud core network technologies and virtualization solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in core network engineering.
• Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Logical thinking, analytical skills and ability to manage project delivery activities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Required skills

• Core network elements: CS, IMS, EPC, HSS, PC.
• Network architecture, interfaces and end‑to‑end call flows (e.g., MSC Pool, VoLT).
• Core network protocols: SIP, Diameter, Megaco, SK.
• Cloud computing, NFV and SDN architectures.
• Experience in NFV, IMS or EPC operation and maintenance.
