Assistant Driller – Offshore

About the role

The Assistant Driller will work alongside the Driller on offshore projects in Gabon, supporting the safe and efficient execution of drilling operations. The position reports to the Driller and collaborates with the rig crew to achieve production targets while ensuring compliance with company and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Driller in operating and supervising all drilling equipment.
• Monitor drilling parameters to maintain optimal performance.
• Implement and enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures on site.
• Coordinate with the rig supervisor to schedule maintenance and inspections.
• Report any non‑conformities and support corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate drilling logs and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of offshore drilling experience.
• Immediate availability.
• Valid IWCF/IADC Well Control – Level 2 certification.
• Current BOSIET/FOET certification.
• Yellow Fever vaccination and OGUK Medical clearance.
• Ability to work in challenging offshore environments.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of drilling systems and equipment.
• Strong understanding of HSE procedures and compliance.
• Proficiency in well control protocols.
