Maintenance & Reliability Manager

About the role

The Maintenance & Reliability Manager will lead the maintenance function for an oil & gas operation in Gabon. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment availability, safety, and cost‑effective performance across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance personnel across all operational activities.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and workshop coordination.
• Support reliability improvement and downtime reduction initiatives.
• Manage contractors and third‑party service providers.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and drive continuous‑improvement activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and integrity data in SAP/CMMS systems.
• Support root‑cause analysis and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with operations and technical teams to optimise asset performance.
• Promote strong HSE standards and safe working practices.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in oil & gas maintenance operations.
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams in live operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of reliability engineering and maintenance best practices.
• Understanding of HSE standards and operational compliance requirements.
• Fluent French language skills.
• Comfortable working in multicultural, fast‑paced settings.
