Offshore Senior Toolpusher

About the role

The Senior Toolpusher is the operational leader on an offshore drilling rig, responsible for supervising all drilling activities and ensuring they are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with the approved well program.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise drilling operations and ensure compliance with the well program.
• Lead pre‑job meetings for non‑routine and critical drilling tasks.
• Monitor equipment maintenance, repair, and readiness, including mud systems and solids control equipment.
• Review and approve drilling work permits, well‑control calculations, and daily drilling reports.
• Coordinate with the Offshore Installation Manager, client representatives, and third‑party service providers.
• Support inventory management, procurement of critical drilling equipment, and rig move planning.
• Promote QHSE compliance, lead safety meetings, and conduct well‑control drills.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising offshore drilling crews, preferably in a senior toolpusher or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of well‑control procedures and emergency response.
• Ability to mentor and develop drilling personnel.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with OIM, clients, and service providers.
