Stagiaire Assistant de Management de la Sécurité (SMS)

About the role

This internship is positioned within the Safety, Hygiene, Risks and Security Department of Setrag, a railway operator in Gabon. You will support the Safety Management System (SMS) team in reviewing, updating and improving the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the risk aspects of existing SOPs.
• Catalogue all available SOPs and conduct a thorough review.
• Update SOPs according to the latest regulatory criteria and internal standards.
• Collaborate with senior safety engineers to ensure revisions meet quality expectations.
• Assist in preparing documentation for internal audits.

Required profile

• Current enrolment in a Licence (Bachelor) or Master programme in Safety, Quality, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality concepts.
• Ability to work autonomously and present findings clearly.
• Fluent French; intermediate English is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced level).
