Rotating Equipment Specialist – Maintenance Fly Team

About the role

Assala Energy is seeking a highly skilled Rotating Equipment Specialist to join its Maintenance Fly Team in Gabon. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of rotating equipment across multiple sites, providing technical leadership and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance teams and act as a replacement for Mechanical Supervisors and Maintenance Superintendents when absent.
• Develop and implement rotating equipment maintenance and reliability strategies.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues according to vendor specifications.
• Plan, organize, and execute major maintenance activities and support HAZOP/HAZID studies.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and engineering to improve reliability and integrate best practices into new designs.
• Promote HSSE standards, ESG awareness, and proactive process safety management.

Required profile

• Engineering diploma (or equivalent) with a postgraduate degree or specialized experience in Oil & Gas.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in oil and gas operations or maintenance.
• Proven track record in technical management of operations or maintenance.
• Fluent in English and French with strong communication skills.
