About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Event Manager to lead a high‑profile three‑day conference in Libreville, Gabon. Reporting to the General Director, you will be responsible for flawless execution of an event hosting over 1,000 participants, diplomatic protocol, and live streaming to thousands of online viewers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate full logistics including accommodation, catering, transport, and accreditation for delegates.
• Manage diplomatic protocol and presidential security in partnership with the Palais des Congrès and state authorities.
• Oversee audiovisual production and live streaming on platforms such as YouTube and Facebook, ensuring high‑quality video, sound, and lighting.
• Provide simultaneous interpretation in French, English, Portuguese and Spanish, and handle signage and visitor services.
• Lead crisis management and contingency planning throughout the event.
• Control budget, negotiate with vendors, and monitor performance using project‑management tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of event management experience, preferably for conferences of 500‑2,000 participants.
• Proven experience with diplomatic protocol and presidential‑level events.
• Established network of hotels, caterers, AV providers, security firms, and transport services in Libreville.
• Fluent in French and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Asana, Monday.com and Excel for budget and vendor management.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract (3 months) with a monthly salary of 600 k FCFA.
