Product Design Engineer – CATIA V5 & Windchill

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Product Design Engineer to develop innovative mechanical solutions for aerospace and power‑generation projects. The role focuses on creating robust designs for smart motor and power generation technologies while meeting cost, weight and manufacturability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CAD models, drawings and parts lists compliant with company standards.
• Lead one or more engineering work packages for mechanical design, coordinating with stress, thermal, supply‑chain and validation teams.
• Produce design assurance documentation, including design reports, test procedures and calculations (interference fits, thermal growth, stress, tolerance analyses).
• Support risk mitigation through design investigations and root‑cause analysis for both new R&T projects and existing product improvements.
• Participate in product introduction processes (PROMPT & DEVELOP) and gateway reviews.
• Report work‑package status to Lead Engineers and deliver monthly KPI milestones.

Required profile

• Proven experience with CATIA V5 and Windchill in a mechanical design environment.
• Strong understanding of design‑to‑cost and design‑to‑manufacture principles.
• Ability to produce detailed engineering documentation and perform technical calculations.
• Experience working on aerospace or power‑generation projects is preferred.
