Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will manage end‑to‑end purchasing activities for the Supply Chain Department in Gabon. You will ensure that goods, materials and services are acquired at the right cost, quality and delivery schedule while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and review requisitions using the ERP system.
• Select suppliers based on price, availability, quality and compliance, and maintain an up‑to‑date supplier database.
• Monitor stock levels, follow up on back‑ordered items and ensure timely deliveries.
• Coordinate with logistics to verify shipping documents and update records in the ERP.
• Work with finance and treasury to manage pre‑payments, invoice settlements and payment terms.
• Expedite deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on purchase order status, delays and stock replenishment.
• Identify alternative sourcing options for unavailable items and propose solutions to relevant departments.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or purchasing processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for order management.
• Strong analytical ability to track inventory and supplier performance.
• Effective communication skills for supplier negotiations and internal coordination.
