Freelance Sales Representative – Gabon

About the role

AFRIKA TRANSTOUR is seeking an autonomous freelance sales professional to drive sponsorship and partnership revenue for its CAMEPT events across Gabon. The role is commission‑only and focuses on high‑value B2B prospecting within the mining, energy, finance and transport sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach international financial institutions, ministries, and private companies in mining, energy and transport.
• Deliver pitch presentations on CAMEPT projects, highlighting ROI for participants.
• Negotiate sponsorship contracts (Platinum, Gold, Silver tiers) and secure letters of intent.
• Finalize agreements, including protocols of understanding and participation contracts.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified decision‑makers per country.
• Provide weekly reports on pipeline status, signed deals and registrations via Slack or email.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of B2B sales experience in mining, energy, finance or related sectors.
• Established network of public and private decision‑makers, IFIs and banks in Gabon.
• Fluent in French and English; local languages a plus.
• Highly autonomous, proactive and comfortable working on a commission‑only model.
