Creative Writer – Remote (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Creative Writer to shape our brand’s voice across digital channels. Working remotely, you will craft high‑conversion copy, engaging scripts, and immersive blog posts that resonate with our audience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice for website, email, social media, and newsletters.
• Create long‑form and short‑form content such as blogs, articles, whitepapers, and ad copy.
• Conceptualize and script audio‑visual content for podcasts, YouTube, TikTok, and Meta ads.
• Research African cultural trends and optimise content for SEO to boost organic reach.
• Collaborate with remote design and video teams to align written and visual assets.

Required profile

• Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional creative writing, copywriting, or content creation.
• Strong portfolio showcasing brand storytelling and scriptwriting.
• Deep understanding of African socioeconomic and pop‑culture contexts.
• Excellent command of English with flawless grammar and proofreading.
• Self‑driven, highly organized and able to meet strict deadlines independently.
