Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support (Freelance – On‑Call)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to deliver break‑and‑fix services for enterprise infrastructure in Gabon. The role is freelance and on‑call, requiring both onsite visits and remote assistance while maintaining high customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote break‑and‑fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization and network issues.
• Resolve network connectivity problems (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and incident reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification and fluent English (spoken and written).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams.

Required skills

• Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• VMware and/or Hyper‑V.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching.
• Backup and disaster‑recovery technologies.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or Python.
• Optional: Nutanix certification (NCP), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
