Maintenance Superintendent

About the role

Assala Energy is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance activities for its oil and gas assets in Gabon. The role involves overseeing turbo‑machinery, rotating equipment, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and HVAC maintenance, while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize asset reliability.
• Plan, schedule and allocate resources for all maintenance and workshop activities.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers, ensuring work meets standards and budget.
• Monitor performance metrics, drive continuous improvement and ensure HSE compliance.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in SAP and related maintenance systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of maintenance management experience in Oil & Gas.
• Proven leadership of maintenance teams and strong analytical skills.
• Fluency in French and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
