Maintenance & Reliability Manager – Gabon

About the role

This position leads maintenance and reliability activities for live oil and gas production assets in Gabon. You will own the delivery of preventive and predictive programmes, drive performance improvements, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise multidisciplinary maintenance teams across operational activities.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and workshop coordination.
• Support reliability improvement and downtime‑reduction initiatives.
• Manage contractors and third‑party service providers.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and drive continuous‑improvement actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and integrity data in CMMS systems.
• Support root‑cause analysis and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with operations and technical teams to optimise asset performance.
• Promote strong HSE standards and safe working practices.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years of experience in oil & gas maintenance operations.
• Proven leadership of maintenance teams in live production environments.
• Strong knowledge of reliability engineering and best‑practice maintenance.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of HSE standards and compliance requirements.
• Fluent French language skills.
• Comfortable working in multicultural, fast‑paced settings.
