Legal Data Analyst

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will turn complex legal information—such as contracts, case records, and regulatory filings—into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management, and business strategy. Working remotely, you will collaborate with legal and technology teams to build data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, and contract terms to identify trends and risks.
• Translate findings into insights for legal strategy, compliance, and decision‑making.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs.
• Support regulatory compliance by mapping emerging requirements to internal processes.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve legal workflow efficiency.
• Implement data‑governance practices, including classification, retention, and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong ability to convert legal concepts into structured data and quantitative analyses.
• Proven project‑management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, IP, or privacy law is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data analysis and automation.
• Power BI or Tableau for dashboard creation.
• Familiarity with large language model prompt engineering.
