General Manager – Operations & Business Development (Gabon)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead our entry and growth in Gabon. The role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, acting as the local face of the business while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead, and scale a cross‑functional local team covering operations, business development, and marketing.
• Drive commercial partnerships and business‑development initiatives.
• Own the P&L and monitor core operational and financial KPIs.
• Adapt and localise the business model to meet Gabon’s market conditions and regulatory framework.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain relationships with local authorities and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with headquarters to roll out product, marketing, and growth programs.
• Represent the company externally as the primary local point of contact.

Required profile

• 5+ years of leadership experience in ride‑hailing, logistics, mobility, e‑commerce, or related sectors.
• Proven track record of building and scaling operations or launching new markets.
• Deep knowledge of Gabon’s mobility, digital, and regulatory ecosystem.
• Strong business acumen with P&L ownership experience.
• Comfortable navigating government relations and regulatory change.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic leadership style thriving in fast‑moving, resource‑constrained environments.
• Fluent in English (B2‑C1) and French (B2‑C1).
