Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Gabon

About the role

The client seeks an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead finance and controlling functions for their Gabon operations. This senior position reports to the regional CFO and works closely with the Managing Director and executive board.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement local finance and controlling strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Promote cost‑efficient operations and identify savings opportunities.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with IFRS, statutory and legal requirements.
• Develop long‑term financial plans, budgets, forecasts and monitor performance against targets.
• Approve investments within delegated authority and evaluate business cases.
• Ensure accurate, transparent management reporting and timely KPI monitoring.
• Maintain cash collection, billing processes and manage financial risk.
• Prepare regular reports for the Managing Director, regional CFO and senior management team.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in financial management or accounting; qualified accountant preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of financial management experience in a multinational service environment.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and develop finance teams.
• Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving capabilities.
