Aviation Superintendent

About the role

Assala Gabon, a leading oil and gas exploration and production company, is looking for a proactive Aviation Superintendent to oversee its aviation facilities, including airports and a Jet A‑1 refuelling station. The role ensures safe, cost‑effective aviation services that meet national, international, and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide aviation services while keeping risks ALARP.
• Monitor HSSE‑MS of the aviation department and contractors.
• Deliver services within the approved annual budget.
• Supervise follow‑up actions from HSSE audits and inspections.
• Contribute aviation input to HOA budget, safety plan, business plan, and internal audit plan.
• Maintain comprehensive monitoring and recording systems.
• Perform HSE‑critical tasks and maintain contact with relevant government bodies.
• Ensure aviation standards comply with the latest Assala Aircraft and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the aviation industry.
• Strong knowledge of EP HSSE standards, safety systems, and HSSE‑MS applicable to aviation.
• Familiarity with international aviation standards, airport operating requirements, and ISO 9001.
• Negotiation, interpersonal, and personnel supervision abilities.
• Commercial awareness and experience in budget control (advantageous).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with SAP competence.
