Assembly Repair Maintenance & Overhaul Technician - Drilling Services

About the role

Baker Hughes is looking for an ARMO Technician (Electro Mech III) to join its drilling services team. The role covers troubleshooting, testing, assembling and disassembling, and performing visual inspections of electro-mechanical assemblies, within a wellbore intervention team.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and visually inspect electro-mechanical assemblies
• Perform complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation
• Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment
• Analyze and interpret data from environmental tests and troubleshoot equipment problems
• Provide technical support to other groups and co-workers, and coach other technicians in areas of proven competence
• Inspect and dispose of parts and equipment
• Comply with HS&E policies and procedures

Required profile

• Minimum technical diploma or associate degree in an electrical or mechanical field
• At least 3 years of maintenance-related experience in an electro-mechanical function
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists, and to follow formal procedures and maintenance practices
• Good problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills

Required skills

• Advanced soldering and assembly of electro-mechanical devices
• Proficiency with multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and oscilloscopes
• Use of measurement and gauging equipment
• Knowledge of fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits and electro-mechanical devices
