Accountant (US GAAP/UK GAAP)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to handle daily accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will work with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS standards to provide timely data that supports business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions, expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Calculate tax liabilities, prepare tax returns and process payroll.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by supplying required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a comparable role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA).
• Excellent analytical ability, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
