Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Gabon

About the role

DHL Express is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead finance, controlling and administration functions in Gabon. The CFO will ensure compliance with finance guidelines, legal frameworks and accounting standards while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement local finance and controlling strategy, policies and procedures.
• Promote cost‑efficient operations and identify cost‑saving measures.
• Set financial goals, monitor implementation and establish a red‑flag reporting system.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial health of the country.
• Ensure accurate, transparent and timely management reporting, including IFRS financial statements.
• Oversee statutory audits, local GAAP compliance and internal control processes (CRISP).
• Evaluate investment and acquisition business cases in line with DPDHL policy.
• Manage foreign currency availability and timely repatriation of network fees.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in finance within a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, local GAAP and statutory audit requirements.
• Ability to develop and monitor financial goals and risk‑management systems.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
