Assistant IT Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant IT Manager to join our team in Africa. In this role you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our LAN and WAN infrastructure, ensuring reliable network performance and supporting end‑user computing needs.

Key responsibilities

• EUC incident and request ticket management.
• Support EUC operations, including OS installation and user assistance.
• Monitor and manage all WAN/LAN systems, including PBX VoIP platforms.
• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, WAN accelerators, DHCP servers and CNS devices.
• Manage WLAN networks and perform regular firmware updates and maintenance.
• Develop and execute IT disaster‑recovery plans, backup and redundancy strategies.
• Handle contract and vendor management for LAN/WLAN and WAN connections.
• Report project progress and coordinate schedules with corporate and group teams.
• Oversee the lifecycle of network assets, budgeting and procurement.
• Document network configurations, processes and reports in line with CSIS standards.

Required profile

• Strong alignment with industry network standards, policies and procedures.
• Proven ability in process improvement, problem solving and project management.
• Excellent documentation skills and capacity to learn new technologies quickly.
• Experience in analyzing user needs and recommending infrastructure enhancements.
• Effective management of network environments and associated budgets.
