Technical Support Engineer – Oilfield & Industrial Chemicals

About the role

The Technical Support Engineer will join Baker Hughes' leading well‑construction and production team, providing pre‑job planning, execution support, and post‑job analysis for oilfield and industrial chemical technologies. You will work closely with Service Delivery, Sales, and Engineering to ensure flawless customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process and ensure compliance.
• Submit best practices, case histories, and lessons learned to the knowledge‑management database.
• Raise alerts for unfamiliar technical issues and provide troubleshooting guidance.
• Communicate recommendations, project plans, and technical roadmaps to senior leaders.
• Follow up on field failures, share learnings, and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and execute optimal solutions.
• Report issues and lessons learned to Engineering and Technology groups.
• Develop and implement operational standards for new products and technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven expertise in technical support, field operations, or engineering roles.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and motivating technical teams.
• Willingness to travel globally and offshore up to 25% of the time.
