Procurement and Supply Chain Director

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and the Eramet Group Africa Procurement & Supply Chain Director, you will lead the Procurement and Supply Chain function at COMILOG in Moanda, Gabon. You will be responsible for a portfolio exceeding €500 million, balancing cost, quality, lead‑time, risk management and sustainable performance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement COMILOG’s Procurement and Supply Chain strategy, steering budget, KPIs, P&L savings, working capital, spare‑parts availability, inventories, lead times and CSR objectives.
• Position the function as a strategic business partner by engaging early in investment projects and regularly communicating the value created.
• Define and deploy category‑based sourcing strategies, lead tenders, high‑level negotiations and total‑cost‑of‑ownership, design‑to‑cost and spend‑consolidation initiatives.
• Develop a competitive, diversified and resilient supplier base, strengthen local content and embed social, environmental and ethical criteria into purchasing decisions.
• Manage supplier performance and risk, identify strategic and critical suppliers, oversee key supplier relationships and resolve contractual disputes.
• Guarantee operational excellence across the procure‑to‑pay process, ensuring smooth, traceable flows, internal control, compliance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in procurement and supply chain within a large, multi‑site industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams of 70 + employees and drive functional transformation.
• Strong expertise in cost optimisation, risk management and sustainability, preferably in mining or related sectors.
• Experience working in multicultural settings and collaborating with group‑level functions.
