Nutanix Engineer & Networking IT Support (Freelance – On‑Call)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer and Networking IT Support Engineer to provide break‑and‑fix services on an on‑call freelance basis. The role involves both onsite and remote troubleshooting of hardware, virtualization, and network incidents for enterprise environments in Gabon.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote break‑and‑fix support for networking and infrastructure issues.
• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization and network problems, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents within agreed response times and document all actions.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification with at least a 90 % pass score on the induction assessment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently in customer‑facing environments with a professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• VMware and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching.
• Backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or Python.
• CCNA certification.
• Optional: Nutanix Certification (NCP or higher), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
