Reservoir Engineer

About the role

Assala Gabon is seeking a skilled Reservoir Engineer to join its integrated asset development team. The role supports the Senior Reservoir Engineer in well test programs, reservoir analyses, and production reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fundamental reservoir engineering tasks including field and well reviews, production and injection analysis, and well test design and interpretation.
• Build, populate, history‑match and run dynamic 3D reservoir simulation models for various scenarios.
• Apply material balance, nodal analysis, and decline curve analysis to support forecasts and development plans.
• Propose development and redevelopment plans such as new wells, side‑tracks, workovers, and water injection strategies.
• Contribute to well‑by‑well and project reviews and identify opportunities to increase reserves.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with a focus on Reservoir Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a reservoir engineering position.
• Experience in West Africa or pre‑salt reservoirs is a plus.
• Proven ability to add value to mature reservoirs by identifying optimization opportunities.
