Railway Signalling and Safety Expert (H/F)

About the role

Expertise France seeks a Railway Signalling and Safety Expert to conduct a comprehensive audit of the Gabonese railway operator SETRAG’s signalling and security needs. The expert will identify concrete actions for the CORAC 5-6 project to support collaboration on priority railway sections.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a technical diagnosis of signalling systems (lateral signalling, signs, level crossings) on priority Transgabonais sections.
• Review and revise SETRAG’s terms of reference for urban railway security (PK 0 – PK 17) and provide implementation recommendations.
• Evaluate and cost the security upgrades for fifteen level crossings on the Libreville‑Ndjolé axis.
• Assess the feasibility of a logistics hub at Ndjolé in relation to railway issues.
• Develop a prioritized, budgeted action plan outlining possible CORAC 5-6 interventions (subsidy, delegated project management, technical assistance).

Required profile

• Experience in railway infrastructure, signalling and safety audits.
• Ability to work remotely for the framing phase and conduct field missions in Gabon.
• Strong coordination skills with project teams and multiple stakeholders (government ministries, local authorities, logistics operators).
